James Hylton's name has been added to the Augusta International Raceway Monument.  The dedication will take place September 8th at the site of the former raceway in Hephzibah, Georgia.  Attending the event will be former NASCAR drivers Rex White and Frank Warren.

The half-mile track ran NASCAR Grand National races from 1962 - 1969.  Hylton competed in five events (1967 - 1969)  and compiled four top-10 finishes.  The Track ran both NASCAR and USRRC (later Can-AM) events in the sixties with many legends of the sport as participants. The Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society is committed to preserving the history of this great track and keeping the public informed of the exploits of its drivers.
