Inman SC (December 7, 2007) - James Hylton announced today that he will participate in the 2008 Old School Racing Champions Tour (OSRCT).  OSRCT will begin its inagurial season on May 18, 2008, at Concord Speedway in Concord, NC. and continue with ten more events, all at tracks 3/4 mile or less in length.

OSRCT will feature drivers that have either won a NASCAR CUP, Nationwide or Truck Series race as well as series champions from ARCA, CART, IndyCar or any winner of the Indianapolis 500.  Other drivers schedule to compete in 2008 include David Pearson, Dave Marcis, Harry Gant and Geoff Bodine.

"I am really looking forward to running OSRCT in 2008" states the 73 year old NASCAR legend, from his shop in Inman, SC, "all the cars will be equal and the races will be all about driver skill in this series."  Each competitor will drive a 105" inch wheelbase car with a 450 Horsepower crate motor.  Car bodies are being constructed with removable front and rear sections to enable easy repair.  NASCAR veteran driver Randy LaJoie will be in charge of OSRCT safety.

"This is a great idea because it allows newer fans of stock car racing a chance to watch many of the sport's greats compete on many of the old NASCAR tracks" stated Hylton.  OSRCT will race at former CUP tracks such as Concord, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, South Boston, Langley Speedway and Hickory.
